HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN 2024

Provide a Haven for Caregivers, like Isabelle and Sandrine

“Our journey with Maison St-Raphaël went well beyond simply receiving a service. They took care of our emotional, physical, spiritual and practical needs.”

—Isabelle

When palliative care comes up in conversation, people tend to think of the very last moments of life. But those who use Maison St-Raphaël’s services know that end-of-life care can also make all the difference for friends, family and caregivers, whether before, during or after the death of their loved one. That’s why I’m asking you to donate to our Holiday campaign. Find out how Maison St-Raphaël supported Stéphane and Isabelle and their daughter Sandrine. Help us provide more loved ones with people-oriented services free of charge.

“Stéphane was getting a lot of support from oncologists, nursing staff, the psychiatrist, the neurosurgeon... But not my daughter, Sandrine, and me. She needed someone to talk to, and so did I.”

“I didn't know what grief was. It was really about expressing my sadness and being heard, then explaining it, accepting it, valuing it even. That’s how Camille, the social worker, helped me, really."

“When Stéphane was ready to share his song with us, time was running out. His situation was visibly deteriorating [...] We sat on the edge on the bed next to him. There was a recording studio with microphones, a soundboard, a piano. Then, it was magic how the incredible voices of Anne and her intern joined in. The song is really a gift, a legacy, that's very precious and belongs to Sandrine."

In Quebec, one person in three is a caregiver.

By donating to Maison St-Raphaël, you give hundreds of people access to support free of charge as they cope with the loss of a loved one. Please donate to give caregivers, like Isabelle and Sandrine, the haven they need.
