Louise and Alan Edwards Symptom Management Clinic

Maison St-Raphaël now offers a symptom management clinic for people living with a progressive incurable illness. This service is free for patients and aims to improve quality of life by providing specialized support to better manage the physical and psychological symptoms related to the illness.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be aged 18 years or older
  • Live in Montréal or in the surrounding suburds
  • Be able to travel to the clinic
  • Have a progressive, incurable illness
  • Experience hard-to-control symptoms that negatively impact comfort or well-being
  • Be referred by a physician or nurse practitioner (NP)

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have already well controlled symptoms
  • Already being followed by another symptom management clinic, or having a home physician
  • Have a primary diagnosis of a neurodegenerative disease or of chronic pain condition

We will welcome people from all backgrounds, regardless of their social status, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity or religious beliefs.
