At this early stage of the year, construction is going well!

The construction of St. Raphael’s is progressing: teams are busy building the steel structure of the new entrance in addition to backfilling with sand the floor of the day center.

Watch the video to see the teams at work: the last of the steel support beams from the day centre has been bolted to bedrock, running up through the residence to support the mezzanine floor; a hydraulic jackhammer excavator is digging into bedrock for a new bathroom next to our learning centre (formerly the stage); a tractor is bringing in tonnes of sand to backfill the floor; and a roller is compacting the sand before the gravel and concrete floor are poured atop it.
