Maison St-Raphaël is pleased to announce the addition of new members to its Board of Directors. These individuals who come from diverse professional backgrounds, bring valuable expertise to support our cause and our management team in its mission of quality palliative care.
To continue offering quality palliative care, Maison St-Raphaël has selected Jean-Claude Bachand, Catherine Gratton, Rafik Greiss and David Torralbo, seasoned professionals in the fields of finance and law, to join the Board. Their commitment, passion for our cause and expertise will help strengthen and sustain our organization.
Jean-Claude has a long management and legal experience in the financial services industry. He was general-counsel at Banque Nationale de Paris (Canada), and subsequently worked at Montreal Trust as Executive president and general counsel, before joining the law firm Dentons- Canada. He was a member of various boards within the Investors Group and also member of the board (and chairman of the Audit Committee) at the Caisse de Dépôt et placement du Québec. He also served as Honorary Consul General for the Principality of Monaco in Montréal.
Catherine Gratton, MBA with a certification in ethics and compliance, has over 20 years of expertise in the banking and telecommunications industries
With experience in managing large multi-disciplinary teams as well as in business development and sales support, she is recognized in the fields of compliance, coaching and operational performance. Currently a director at Desjardins, she oversees operational teams and transformation projects in the housing sector. A graduate of UQAM and HEC, Catherine is also involved in community and mentoring initiatives, actively contributing to the development of tomorrow’s leaders and important social causes. A marathon runner for many years, she is an advocate for healthy living.
Rafik (FCPA, ICD.D) has a distinctive experience as a business executive, professional service provider and director. As a partner in a Big 4 accounting firm, he was responsible for launching and leading successful business lines and service offerings, including two large change management initiatives. He has also been a managing partner in a national accounting firm and in a private equity firm. Rafik brings a unique combination of experience in audit, accounting, financial reporting, finance, governance and academia. He has chaired and been a director on numerous not-for-profit boards, including St. Mary's Hospital Center and CIUSSS West Island, on which he chaired the audit committees.
David Torralbo is a seasoned legal executive with over 25 years of experience specializing in corporate and securities law, public and private M&A, litigation, risk management and corporate governance.
He is currently the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of LeddarTech Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LDTC), an automotive software company that provides patented disruptive AI-based low-level sensor fusion and perception software technology. In this capacity, David overseas all legal and regulatory matters relating to LeddarTech and is the principal legal advisor to the board of directors and senior management team of the company.
Mr. Torralbo earned his Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.L.) and common law (LL.B.) at the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from McGill University.
