Fireside chat “Choosing life … at the risk of losing it” for those with an incurable disease and their loved ones

St. Raphael Palliative Care Home and Day Centre invites you to its first event. A fireside chat on the topic of “Choosing life … at the risk of losing it“, organized as part of PROJECTION week.

Do you have a serious illness? Are you caring for a loved one with an incurable disease? Have you lost someone you love or do you fear losing someone you love? This evening will provide some comfort. Please join us!

Sylvianne Lessard, mother of a young boy, who cared for her spouse through his life limiting illness, will share her experience as a caregiver. She will be presenting with Johanne de Montigny, Psychologist specialized in palliative care and bereavement counselling. Through her interventions, Ms. de Montigny will guide us through the key elements of the demanding but universally inspirational experience of caregiving. Session held in French followed by a bilingual question period.
