Dr. Manuel Borod joins the Board of Directors of St. Raphael’s

We are honoured to announce that Dr. Manuel Borod, M.D., C.M., B. Sc., M. Sc., MBA – Director, Division of Supportive and Palliative Care Programs, McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), & Assistant Professor of Oncology, McGill University has joined our board.

Dr. Borod practiced family medicine for 20 years before embarking on a career in palliative care. He developed the home-care program at Mount Sinaï Hospital before working full-time for the MUHC.

Dr. Borod is also renowned for introducing humour in palliative care and is a mentor and dedicated teacher to both medical students and residents.  He is currently working on the MUHC’s supportive care services expansion, which includes designing a program for cancer survivors. He is also the recipient of the Henry and Margaret Johnson Recognition Award in Oncology.

Dr. Borod joins a group of directors who are devoted to the cause of palliative care.
