Carine Peltier joins the team of the St-Raphael Palliative Care Home and Day Centre in the role of Director of Nursing
Montreal, August 30th, 2021. The management and members of the board of directors are delighted to welcome Ms. Carine Peltier as Director of Nursing at the St-Raphael Palliative Care Home and Day Centre.
Carine Peltier has over ten years of nursing experience. Carine began her management career after completing a Master’s Degree in Management at the European Business School in Lyon, France. Carine has also spent eight years working in the film industry and in translation. In addition to her work as a nurse, Carine has held management and coordination positions at Notre-Dame Hospital where she held the position of Head Nurse in Emergencies, and Head Nurse of the Intensive Care Unit and Day Medicine. It was while fulfilling these roles and seeing the care of patients at the end of their lives, that Carine developed a strong interest in palliative care. She is passionate about the prevention and promotion of health and well-being, and is currently training in both therapeutic hypnosis and naturopathy.
In her new role, Carine will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the medical director and director of multidisciplinary services. She will be responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating the clinical care and services that are offered to patients at St-Raphael as well as their loved ones. Carine will manage a team of around twenty nurses and will establish practices, policies and procedures that will ensure ongoing safety and the highest possible quality of care.
We wish Carine the warmest welcome to our team. We are convinced that her management skills, her nursing experience, and especially her warm, gentle and empathetic personality will be a great asset to us at St-Raphael and that she will be a key player in our continuing to offer exceptional services and deeply human care to our patients and their loved ones.
