Solidarity was on full display at Pratt Park on Sunday, May 3, 2026, as close to 550 people gathered for the 6th edition of Maison St‑Raphaël’s Walk for Dignity. Thanks to the outstanding commitment of the community—whether by walking, donating, or supporting the event as partners—an incredible total of $443,567 was raised in support of the Maison’s mission.

The event brought together more than 400 walkers, supported by nearly 150 volunteers. After completing the 1 km and 5 km routes through the Côte‑des‑Neiges and Outremont neighbourhoods, participants enjoyed a friendly community barbecue at Pratt Park.

Despite the cool weather, the warm and family-friendly atmosphere brought participants together for a deeply moving day, marked by humanity, sharing, and kindness.

The day was also highlighted by a heartfelt testimonial from Julie, whose partner François passed away at Maison St‑Raphaël last September. With great generosity, she reminded attendees of the importance of the support provided to people at the end of life and their loved ones:

Maison St‑Raphaël would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the Walk, made a donation, or volunteered to contribute to the success of this day. Through this inspiring show of solidarity, the Walk for Dignity once again demonstrates the strength of community support and helps ensure that Maison St‑Raphaël can continue to provide, free of charge, care and support rooted in humanity, compassion, and dignity to people living with incurable illnesses, their loved ones, and those who are grieving.
