$110,000 Raised to Support Excellence in Palliative Care!

First St. Raphael’s Golf Tournament

Montréal, October 15, 2020 – On October 5, about 100 smiling golfers turned out for the St. Raphael’s inaugural Golf Tournament to support excellence in palliative care. A tribute to Francis Glorieux, a founding member of the organization, the event fully complied with current public health measures. Thank you to Groupe Santé Nadon, our main sponsor for the tournament.

Chaired by Domenic Chiovitti, president of St. Raphael’s board, the organizing committee was also composed of Marco Ottoni, vice-president, Marie Michèle del Balso, outgoing president, and Valentino Chiovitti, donor. Several sponsors helped make this tournament first edition a remarkable financial success. It was at the beautiful Club Saint-Raphaël on Île Bizard that golf enthusiasts enjoyed tournament classics, like closest to the flag, best tee shot, beat the pro and best foursome. Mother Nature lent a hand, making the activity extra special. Check your calendar, the tournament will be back for a second edition in September 2021. This is indeed the start of a great tradition that supports St. Raphael’s excellence in providing exceptional and free palliative care.
