St. Raphael’s ramps up fundraising efforts
In November 2015, the St. Raphael Palliative Care Home and Day Centre (“St. Raphael’s”) has begun ramping up its fundraising efforts as part of a major fundraising campaign. The goal is to raise $10M to finance the construction and the first two years of operation of the 12-bed palliative care home and day centre.
The Board of Directors of St. Raphael’s is extremely pleased to count on the contribution and fundraising efforts of well-known and respected philanthropists from the Montreal community, such as Rick and Carolyn Renaud, Luc Maurice, Lillian Vineberg, Louis Roquet, Peter O’Brien, Martin Thibodeau, Nicolas Mastandrea, and Lyne Roy Payette.
Over the coming months, the major fundraising campaign committee will be reaching out to companies, financial institutions, private foundations, as well as residents in the boroughs serviced by the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal (Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux) – including Outremont, Mount-Royal, Côte-des-Neiges – Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN-NDG), Ville-Marie, Plateau-Mont-Royal, Montreal West, and Côte Saint-Luc – in whose territory St. Raphael’s is located.
Construction of the facility is expected to begin in the first half of 2016.
